Acerca de Jeremias
This young Venezuelan has all the chops to be a pop star, but he hasn't quite hit with the force of some of the artists he emulates. It may just be a matter of time. The son of a lawyer and a psychologist, Jeremias was born in London but grew up in Caracas, listening to Mozart and Mingus, Fania and trova. He studied piano as a kid and took up guitar as a teenager, when he began composing songs and playing in front of small groups of his friends. The eclectic sounds of his early life bled into his adult songwriting, which ornaments beautifully crafted lyrics with a range of sounds. It was just a matter of time before he released his self-titled debut album, which went platinum in Venezuela and prompted Universal Latino to snap him up. He released his follow-up, Ese Que Va por Ahi in 2006. The album went gold in Venezuela and did respectably in the States, and he followed up with 2007's Un Dia Mas En El Circo.
